Chetna Hareesh Kumar works at the nexus of climate mitigation, finance and sustainable development. Her expertise spans clean energy policy – particularly green hydrogen, renewable energy and energy efficiency – with a strong focus on mobilising finance for the energy transition in emerging and developing economies. Her work contributes to international political and diplomatic processes, including the German government’s bilateral partnerships, deliberations in multilateral forums like the G20 and implementation of other international initiatives.

Before joining NewClimate, she worked with the OECD and REN21 Secretariat in Paris as well as CEEW in New Delhi. She holds a Master's degree in International Economic Policy (with specialisations in Energy and Research Methods) from Sciences Po Paris and a BA (Hons) in Economics from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi.
